She's a lady

I got a real car today in exchange for the teeny one they gave me on Monday. I'm now riding in an '09 Trailblazer and, boy, it is a HUGE difference. In the first car Bradley kept rolling down the windows. I couldn't use the window lock feature because it had MANUAL windows - the kind what has a rolling handle thing. Ack!!! I had to wait over an hour for the new car because the first one they were going to give me (a minivan) didn't start! And let me tell you, if I had gotten that bad boy home tonight only to have it be dead in the morning... I might have a tad bit unpleasant and not quite lady-like.

But, things are great now and I can show you the card I did the other day. The sketch is by Monika Davis - The Mad Stamper. The sketch is TINY on her blog, but she has a lovely full-sized sample to view, so it's okay. I kind of maybe cheated a bit on this one, but I really wanted to do this card, and it fit the sketch... :)

I used a card like this for Chloe's birthday invitations last summer - she LOVES bugs. I designed it myself and hadn't had the chance to make any more since then. She and I are going to use these for the Valentine cards for her teachers. What do you think?

If you click on the images you can see the details better. I used the new SU! punch Heart to Heart to make the little hearts and then I coated them with Crystal Effects to give them some shine. I love the new SU! punches - espeically this one because it coordinates with an adorable stamp set.

I think I'm actually going to make it for all the sketches! I only have to do a few more and I'll be done!!!

Materials (all SU! unless otherwise mentioned)

Card stock: Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red
Stamps: none...hmm...
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Other: Coluzzle Circle Cutter, 2-way glue, Heart to Heart punch, sponge, Crystal Effects, Pink Pirouette felt flower, Pretty in Pink brad, Heart Brad (Making Memories)
