Happy Birthday, Baby Girl.

My Chloe Beth turns 4 today - at exactly 8:01 pm - and I really cannot believe that it's possible. Seven years ago we were in the throes of pain and frustration as we struggled through our infertility issues. Chloe is the result of the miracle of medicine and fervent prayer. On top of the difficulty in conceiving her, I developed severe pre-ecclampsia when I was pregnant with her and she had to be induced nearly 6 weeks early. She was such a teeny little thing.
She was only 4 pounds 11 ounces at birth, and she quickly dropped under the 4 pound mark as she struggled to eat and hold her body temperature. She had a NICU stay and was able to come home once she weighed 5 pounds. Here she is at home, in preemie clothes, with a perspective object. My poor darling was just a bit bigger than a banana!!

Luckily, she did start growing and eating and thriving! Although she is still small for her age, she has gotten a bit bigger than a banana!

Happy Birthday, Chloe. I love you from here to the moon and back!

Awww....she's sooo sweet!! Your story is incredibly similar to mine! I had placenta previa with mine and had an emergency c-sec 6 1/2 weeks early. She weighed 4 lbs. 9 oz. and stayed 3 1/2 weeks in the NICU. Now she's 8 years old and all caught up. Well, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO YOUR DARLING DAUGHTER!! What a blessing. I'm so sorry to hear the news of your mom. I hate to see my mom in pain, so I'd love to send her a card! My email is breach4@msn.com
Hugs!
