It's the IN thing to do!

Don't you love the In Colors offered this year?

It is exciting to be a part of such a dynamic company - Stampin' Up! obviously keeps up with current trends not only in product design, but in color choice. This is such a versatile palette that can be used alone or in combination with our other colors.

I personally love the way Cool Caribbean looks with Close to Cocoa; and the trio of Cranberry Crisp, True Thyme and Sahara Sand is beautiful. What combinations do you like?

The '07 In Colors are available in Classic Stampin' Pads, Ink refills, 8.4" x 11" card stock (as individual colors or as an assorted pack of all 6 colors), and 12" x 12" card stock (assorted only). Do you see what's missing?! MARKERS! I was so bummed that the fabulous In Colors weren't available as markers, until I went to Regionals!

I learned an easy way to create my own markers using the In Colors classic ink refills. It's so inexpensive and works GREAT!

Here's how to do it.

You will need: In Color classic ink refills (I did all 6 colors) (pg. 201), 1 package of In Colors Assorted Card stock (pg. 201), and 1 package of Blender Pens (pg. 225). You will also need a 1/4" circle punch (pg. 220) and Mini Glue Dots (pg. 226).

First, punch out a circle from the corner of each sheet of assorted In Color card stock. Set the punched circles aside.

Next, uncap one end of a Blender Pen and one bottle of In Color classic ink refill. Simply drop the ink from the bottle directly onto the Blender Pen tip. You will see the tip absorb the ink quickly. Rotate the pen around so that it is fully coated with ink.

Replace the cap, and repeat with the other end of the Blender Pen, and all the rest of the Blender Pens.

One box of Blender Pens = Six tips - perfect for the 6 In Colors!

Don't forget about your little circle punches! Use your Mini Glue Dots to adhere the punched circles to the inside of the lid and base of the Blender Pen box - be sure to match them to the colors you used on each Blender Pen tip.

There you have it - you've made your own In Color markers. Perfect for drawing, edging card stock, and (of course!) inking stamps!

Have fun!
