More April Showers!

Image
I really like using mongrams in baby shower cards. I just think that it makes the card really stand out and adds a sweet personal touch - it could work as art for Baby's nursery. I received a couple of very cute cards when I was pregnant with Chloe that I had in her room for a long time (until I finally got around to putting them in a scrapbook!).

Materials (all SU!)

Card stock: Pretty in Pink, Apricot Appeal, Whisper White
Patterned Paper: Dots & Dashes
Stamps: Beyond the Basics (p. 166) (One of my favorite Stamp Sets - I love all the mini background sets on pages 166 and 167 of the catalog), Riveting (p. 14 - hostess set)
Inks: Pretty in Pink, Only Orange, StazOn White
Fibers: Light Pink Gingham Ribbon, Rose Grosgrain Ribbon
Other: Rectangle Handheld Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive

Mini Scrapbook

This is a REALLY easy little scrapbook to make. It would make a precious Mother's Day gift for Mom, Grandma, or a special Auntie.

Thanks, Joy, for the great pattern!

You will need a sheet of Designer Paper cut to 8.5" square
1.25" square card stock in a coordinating color
11' x 3 7/8" strip of coordinating card stock
1" square in Whisper White or other neutral color

Fold square into triangle shape. Score folded paper at 4" and 8" (measuring along the 12" side)

Fold each scored side towared the middle.

Keeping the right flap folded, fold point back to the right edge.

Slide finger inside of the small fold - opening up the point to make a diamond shape.

Stamp the 1" square, adhere to the 1.25" square. Center pieces on the diamond.

Score the 11" x 3 7/8" strip at 2.75", 5.5", and 8.25" and accordian fold.

Add journaling, pictures, or images to the accordian sections.

Open the pocket and center the cardstock strip on the deco…

One-sheet Box!

The amazing Beate has a very cute little one-sheet box template up at her place. I thought I'd try it out. What do you think? The first diagonal fold was a little tricky - but after the first one, it's quite easy.

FREE Stamps! (April Showers Part Two)

My favorite kind! :)

The 2nd part of the April Showers of Promotions is really awesome! Click HERE to read all about it. Basically, when you join the Stampin' Up! family you get all kinds of perks. And every once in a while SU! offers an additional something special for joining.

Until May 31st, when you join SU! as a new demonstrator, you get two free hostess sets that won't even be available until the new Idea Book and Catalog comes out in July. This is way cool not only because you'll get free stamps (!), but hostess sets are really just available to hostesses. If I want to earn a free hostess set, I have to have have a workshop in which I get the benefits - I can't just buy them.

It's a pretty neat offer, so if you would like more information about how you can do what I do - email me!
